The Wizarding Realm is a play-by-post animanga roleplay community dedicated to the Harry Potter series. We are a non-canon universe following our own created history, though still borrowing canonical content from the Harry Potter series. Though we do indeed have a set plotline, it is there only as a basis and general guideline of the current period in which the people of wizarding Great Britain live in, and therefore completely optional to follow. You can create any story with your character and your friends, and even influence the overall storyline by partaking in site wide events and various activities created by the TWR Staff. But overall, we urge all members on our site to have fun and be creative with their works, and to enjoy their experience here at TWR.

CHARACTER ENROLLMENT (3 sub-boards) Welcome to the site! As a newly registered member or account to the site, you are required to first post up a character application here before going off and off and posting anywhere else. The biography template is relatively simple in terms of information we would like to see, and if you have any questions just let us know in the cbox or pm!
BIOGRAPHY INDEX (6 sub-boards) After your character has been accepted it will be moved to one of the many sub boards located inside of this one for safe keeping. Once the thread has been moved here you are free to post around in the site games and begin roleplaying, but it's encouraged to not post anywhere until then. You never know what sort of edits you might need to make in revision!
CLAIMS AND SIGN-UPS (7 sub-boards) There is a multitude of claims you can sign up for on the site, and everything is kept in individual sub boards relative to the claim you might be interested in. We are constantly adding new things to the site for you to enjoy, so simply because we might not have it now doesn't mean we won't have it eventually, so no nagging please!
WORLD RUMORS All around Great Britain you'll hear interesting gossip, whether in random inns, on the streets, or just around various work places. Usually however, you'll find the most rumors within the school of Hogwarts itself. It's corridors are filled with noise and constantly chattering teens, so it's bound to happen in any case!
WORLD EVENTS Detailing events that are occurring all around the wizarding world, this section serves as an announcements board for purely in character events and the locations they are happening within around the world. This section is purely for events that tie directly into the main site plot, but you can find side events posted up by staff sporadically through the world for fun!
STORY BOARD (5 sub-boards) In this board, you are free to post up plot templates, or simply give a brief history of the character and what you are looking for in plots with him or her. It is not required to have one, as sometimes it may seem a bit redundant. However, there are many whom desire these templates for their own personal stories they are crafting.
THE TOWERS (5 sub-boards) Finally we arrive at the dim hallways of the towers of Hogwarts, five in all. They hold the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw dormitories, the astronomy tower, the clock tower, the owlery, and the headmaster's office and residence.
FIFTH FLOOR (3 sub-boards) On one's last stop before reaching the towers, there can be found a few more classrooms (the least popular ones, that is) and the good ol' Room of Requirement. From here, stairs lead to the towers or to a portrait which needs a password in order to access the tower dormitories.
FOURTH FLOOR (3 sub-boards) The fourth floor contains the two largest area in the school aside from the great hall: the hospital wing and library. With these two taking up so much space on the floor, there really isn't enough room for much else except the small trophy room squished between them.
THIRD FLOOR (3 sub-boards) The charms classroom can be found in this otherwise quiet area. Aside from the one class, the third floor has nothing more than a few bathroom and empty hallways. One such hallway has hidden in it the well-known "Moaning Myrtle" bathroom, haunted by a rather perverted little ghost girl. This place also has a second fame, just ask Professor Lorelai.
SECOND FLOOR (3 sub-boards) After climbing up a flight of stairs (should they not move on you as you're walking), you'll come to the school's second floor, largely belonging to various classrooms and a few empty broom closets. With the first floor's ceiling being so high, the second floor has a large balcony that overlooks the entrance hall and courtyard.
FIRST FLOOR (5 sub-boards) Entering through the large oak double doors lead into Hogwart's entrance hall, from which all other areas of the school building can be accessed. On the ground floor one can find the great hall, several classrooms, the infamous moving stairwells, and the courtyard.
BASEMENTS (4 sub-boards) Beneath the ground floor of Hogwarts are found many passages, dungeons, and chambers, relatively below the ground and level with the lake; making it extremely cold. Some of the are easily accessible, like the potions classroom and kitchens, while others are locked tight.
HOGWARTS GROUNDS (5 sub-boards) Immediately outside of the schol building, one can find safe outdoor areas such as the numerous grassy hills, many greenhouses, with the quidditch pitch just nearby on the opposite side of the school. There is also the game keeper's hut and the lake which are not off-limits but not exactly safe. Finally, there is the forbidden forest off to the distance, but not on school grounds.
THE RAVINE (3 sub-boards) A deep and narrow gorge that rests on Hogwarts grounds and divides the Castle, and it is quite a dangerous fall and leads to an untimely death. A collections of bridges rest over the gorge, such as the Covered Bridge and Stone Bridge, and the Black Lake is located below.
FORBIDDEN FOREST (2 sub-boards) The one area that is off limits is the Forbidden Forest. Like its given name, the Forbidden forest has a morbid and grimy nature, often housing dangerous creatures within the hinterlands. The deadliest creatures known to inhabit the forest are centaurs, whom travel in bands.
HOGSMEADE STATION Situated near the Black Lake and Hogwarts itself, many students every year begin their magical train ride to the school of witchcraft and wizardry to learn how to master their skills. However, in recent years as Hogsmeade has expanded, most wizards and witches already live in the village, and do not require a train ride to attend school. It has become an old, cobweb infested station where teens hang out, beaten down and broken.

MAIN STREET (6 sub-boards) Also known as "High Street", this street is where most of the shops and businesses of the village have been set up. It is a merry street, filled with teenagers and chirping birds and song, having a very olden times feel. Down past this street you will come to the new neighborhoods built up by the Ministry, which houses a great majority of Great Britain's wizards and witches. It is a beautiful place all year around, almost enchanted by the abundance of magic.
TOADSPIRE Established by the Ministry, this is a new middle class neighborhood where many wizarding families have come to live. It nears the Black Lake and thus Hogsmeade Station in general, situated a bit behind Main Street. The homes are relatively moderate sized village cottages with beautiful lawns, coming in various sizes and rooms. There is an abundance of trees throughout the neighborhood, and quite a friendly place for children to roam.
LOW POINT (6 sub-boards) Otherwise called "Low Street", this is a section of High Street that has expanded over the recent progressive years. It borders the Forbidden Forest, and contains mostly more adult friendly locations. Many elder year students will frequent this location in attempts to feel 'cool', but really they're just runts. It isn't an area that is taken care of, and there are an abundance of alleys to get lost within containing relatively shady wizards or witches.
MICEFEET Located at the opposite end of Hogsmeade is the neighborhood of Micefeet, where many more 'affordable' homes can be purchased for families or students who can't purchase a home cottage. Though the buildings appear to be townhouses, they are actually apartment buildings, with a few streets having small family homes. It isn't quite as nice as Toadspire in overall appearance, especially with its close promixity to Low Point.

OTHER LOCATIONS (4 sub-boards) Here are any other areas of interest that aren't exactly popular enough to get their own main board, or they simply wouldn't have any sub boards to go into them to warrant them having a place on the front page. These locations are all in Great Britain and can be traveled to easily if a person knows where they are, but only in Great Britain!
NORTH DIAGON ALLEY (4 sub-boards) The north part of the famous Diagon Alley. It is closest to the Muggle city of London, and leads to Knockturne Alley as well. Mostly, all buildings on the north side of Diagon Alley are businesses and Gringotts. Here is where mostly all items for Hogwarts are purchased, excluding wands which are obtained at Ollivanders located to the south of the alley.

SOUTH DIAGON ALLEY (5 sub-boards) Comprised mainly of family run shops and restaurants, the south side of Diagon Alley also has many townhouse homes where a few wizarding families live. Though not as popular as the north side, only the best wands can be obtained at Ollivanders which is located in this part of the alley. Otherwise, many Ministry workers come here for lunch during their work days, or simply to loiter about in the streets for a simple chat.
KNOCKTURN ALLEY (3 sub-boards) Known as a dark wizard hot spot, this is a shopping area off Diagon Alley in London. It is filled with shops devoted to the Dark Arts, including Borgin and Burkes, which specialises in objects that have curious and strong magical properties. Usually, unusual and dangerous people walk around there, including the uncivilized child eating Hags.

We're always open to including new games, so PM the admins about one you think is fun and we'll add it if we like it!
